History

OUR HERITAGE

The Montana Unit of the Wally Byam Caravan Club International was originally organized at a meeting held in the Northern Hotel, Billings Montana, on May 1961.

Our Charter was granted January 24, 1964. The original Constitution was adopted at a rally in Big Timber, Mt. on July 10, 1969. It is revised every 5 years to keep up with changes made at the Delegate meeting, held yearly at the International Rally.

The first Hands Across the Border Rally was held in Waterton Lakes, Alberta in 1966 between the Alberta/Saskatchewan and Montana Units. It is still held every year in alternating countries over the Labor Day week end.

The 45th anniversary of H A B  was held in Picture Butte, Alberta, in 2011.
